5. It's the thought that counts.
Don't have a Valentine's surprise for your valentine? Well, if you're single, you don't need to think of an excuse why you just gave a card or sent a text. I know she is expecting something for Valentine's (even if she says she doesn't want one) and you need to make some kind of memorable effort for her to appreciate it. If you're single, you wont have those sleepless nights thinking of an excuse or thinking of an effort for that "special occasion".
4. More money for me.
Since you are single, you don't have to spend on something really expensive to give to someone. Yes, you get to save more money because little things such as roses are really expensive as soon as February starts. Everything related to love gets really expensive such as pillows that usually costs P100 becomes P250 during Valentine's. Having a Valentine means going out and since you want to impress her, you have to bring her to some place that's really fancy and expensive. Goodbye to your savings. When you're single, you don't need to spend on these stuff. Instead, you'll be able to buy stuff for yourself instead of your partner.
3. No need to show affections.
It's funny to see that some of my friends, as soon as February starts, they become cheesy all of a sudden. I think that they get caught up in the occasion that they need to make their partner feel loved. Love month means doubling their affections? I don't know. Being single, I don't need to send anyone some cheesy love texts everyday saying "I love you" from time to time. I don't have to give anyone hugs and kisses because it is Valentine's.
2. More time for yourself.
When you're in a relationship, especially during February, you'll feel the need to go out with your partner lots of times. You'd go to places that you've never been to or places that you think are romantic. Yes, time is so important in a relationship that you'd give most of it for your partner. Being single, you don't really have to spend time with anyone. Instead of going to Luneta, you can stay in your room and study for your long tests (I know its a lousy example but it's true!) or play sports. You'll be able to spend your time with the things that you enjoy. Plus, you wont get stressed thinking of some romantic place to spend with your girlfriend.
1. Friends > GF
I think the best way so spend this month is by going out with the people who are closest to you: your friends. You guys could spend time together; attend parties, drink, or hang out. Instead of giving everything to your girlfriend, you can get together with your friends and just party all night long. You'll enjoy their company and enjoy single life together. Don't you just love it? You have all the time for yourself and for the people who make you happy. In the end, your girlfriend can't overpower the fun and excitement that your friends give you.
